Reformer pilates tends to be in higher demand, so it sets up our instructors well for training assessment and post-course employment. It is also commonly utilised clinically in a rehab setting.

Yes! But you’ll need to take out your own insurance (Don’t fret! It’s only about $200 annually - we can link you with a few providers) and a valid CPR certification too.

Here’s the thing with reformer pilates in Australia - it is not formally regulated. Unlike obtaining a university degree for APHRA or a CERT III from TAFE (or another nationally recognised training institute) required for personal training, a reformer pilates certification does not to be a certified VET (Vocational Education and Training) Qualification.

Do VET Qualifications for Pilates exist? Yes and they cost $10,000 minimum. They do train you in all of Joesph Pilates’ classical apparatuses like the Wunda chair, but you won’t see them in a contemporary studio, and most contemporary instructors do not hold a VET diploma.

Our training addresses what is outlined by pilates bodies as appropriate for a group pilates instructor. It is industry recognised as reputable training developed and facilitated by clinicians, exclusively offered to clinical university students or other qualified clinicians.

You will receive a certificate that states you have undergone the necessary theory, training and assessment to completed the Acuity Pilates Reformer Instructor Course.

This course is offered to Second-Year & beyond university students currently enrolled* in a physiotherapy, clinical exercise physiology, or medical degree across Australia.

We also welcome qualified physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and medical doctors.

Upon application, you must attach proof of enrolment, transcript and/or degree if completed.

Once one of the most time consuming parts of the job, until now (well actually soon - its in the works, but on the way).
